I have some tour dates lined up in London and am currently sightseeing around the capital. I have just been to a small flat where there is a blue plaque, about half way up the front wall of the house, that reads "Jimi Hendrix lived here". Do you know anything about this? Angus, Australia.

I have done a little research on this and to be honest I can't find any information at all that shows Jimi Hendrix lived half way up a wall!!

I see SPL written on the speaker cabinet specifications, please can you explain what this is?

Dear David,

This is 'Sound Pressure Level' and is related to Loudness but not quite the same. It is normally a reading taken by putting 1 watt of power into a speaker and then measuring the decibel level at 1 metre away from the speaker. Usually the higher the reading the more efficient the speaker.
